STUDIO
Chrome Banana Studio is the workspace for the unglamorous half of putting a record out — the metadata, the captions, the clips and the statements. One project, one place, no tab shuffle — in the browser, on whatever machine you signed in from. It is our first software product, and the first thing we built for ourselves.
One email when it opens. Nothing before that.
A record does not stop being work when the master is finished. Studio is the part after that — built by a label, for the way a release actually gets shipped.
Artists, albums, tracks, lyrics, audio and statements share one project. The caption tool already knows the track. The clip editor already knows the lyrics.
Studio runs in the browser and your project lives in your account, so it is the same workspace from the studio desktop or a laptop on the road. Uploads, alignment and renders all happen on our infrastructure — no install, no database to run, nothing to keep in sync.
Studio prepares and checks. You review and submit. It does not log into your distributor, does not click past warnings, and stops before anything final.

Build a release once and check it before it goes anywhere — titles, credits, ISRCs, artwork and store dates, validated while you type.
Turn saved lyrics into timed captions, then fix only the lines that are wrong. Auto-sync runs on our machines, so a whole album aligns while you get on with something else.
Cut a week of vertical clips out of one long-form video, without opening a video editor.
Drop the statements in and get one view out — what each release actually earned, per store, without a spreadsheet.
Sketch structure, hooks and lyrics alongside an assistant that already knows the rest of your catalogue. Briefs, hook options, full lyrics, a persona check and a repetition pass — accepted ideas land straight in the project, so nothing is stranded in a chat window.
Set credits, genre, pricing and flags once per artist; release defaults cascade into new tracks. Changing a default never silently rewrites tracks you have already edited — you apply it deliberately, to the tracks you choose.
A companion browser extension that fills the distributor's release form from your saved release data, cover art included. It shows you what it found, and it stops before submission every time.
Download CSV, JSON, a printable checklist, finished MP4s, SRT sidecars and a DaVinci-ready ZIP. Everything Studio holds comes back out in a format something else can read, whenever you want it.

What Studio will never do
Studio is not finished, so there is no price yet. Putting a number on it now would only mean changing it later. Here is the current thinking instead — all of it subject to change, none of it a commitment.

TBC likely, and genuinely free
Artist profiles, release prep, validation and exports, capped at a small number of releases. The intent is that you can take one record from a folder of masters to a finished distributor submission without paying anything — a working tier, not a countdown.

The expensive half: caption auto-sync, Shorts Studio renders, the royalty tracker, and Song Builder once it lands. A monthly subscription is the working assumption because the render and model costs are ongoing — but a one-off licence is still on the table, and we have not ruled out charging per export instead.
Early access
First look at the number
Everyone on the notify list gets the price and the tier split before launch day, with room to say if it is wrong. We intend to hold early users at whatever the launch rate turns out to be. That is an intention, not yet a contract, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Chrome Banana Sounds is our own label and channel — original releases, written, mixed and put out in-house. It is not a service we sell.
It is also the reason Studio solves the right problems. Every rough edge in the app is one we hit ourselves, on a real release, with a deadline. The software exists because the label needed it first.
